MEET THE AUTHOR

Jerome Cade

Jerome Cade is a man who has been interrupted by God — and came out the other side with a message. That is not a marketing phrase. It is the most accurate description of who he is and why what he carries matters. The theology in this book was not assembled in a study. It was forged in hospital rooms, wilderness seasons, and the kind of midnight hours where the only thing holding you is the Word you built your life on before the storm arrived.

His ministry flows from more than knowledge — it flows from encounter.

Over more than three decades of ministry, Jerome has served as an apostolic teacher, prophetic voice, and pastoral leader. His formation has been shaped not only by training but by the very seasons this book describes — seasons of testing, transition, and transformation that became the raw material for a message he could not have preached from comfort alone. He speaks from the interruption. And that is why it lands.

―――

Jerome Cade is a graduate of Georgia State University, where he pursued the uncommon pairing of Business Administration and Philosophy of Religion — a formation that was never accidental. That combination produced something rare: a leader equally at home in a corporate setting and a sanctuary, fluent in the language of margins and the language of mystery. He did not choose one world over the other. He was shaped to inhabit both.

He deepened that foundation through graduate study at Jacksonville Theological Seminary, where his theological convictions were refined into tools for ministry, biblical instruction, and leadership development. The result was not a man divided between two vocations, but one whose vocations reinforce one another — where business acumen sharpens pastoral strategy, and theological depth gives purpose to every practical decision.

For decades, Jerome has served in corporate, entrepreneurial, and ministry environments. He has built and led organizations. He has stood in pulpits and boardrooms with equal authority. He currently serves on the board of Chosen Caregivers Support as Vice President. He carries the vocabulary of both worlds, not merely as a credential, but as a calling — evidence that God often forms His leaders through intersections others overlook.

That dual formation is not a footnote to who Jerome Cade is. It is the thesis.

His apostolic, pastoral, and prophetic development was further shaped through Life Ministry, New Direction Ministries, and the mentorship of numerous ministry leaders. Through these formative seasons, he was nurtured in the Word, developed in spiritual discernment, and equipped to serve with a deeper understanding of ministry, leadership, and kingdom purpose.

He currently serves in leadership and marriage ministry under the covering of Bishop L. Timothy McKibbins of Church of Atlanta Lighthouse in Atlanta, Georgia — a relationship that has provided both accountability and apostolic alignment through some of the most significant seasons of his life and ministry. His teaching has been sharpened through years of active ministry, mentorship, and the kind of impartation that only comes through sustained relationships with those who have walked further ahead.

Among the most formative of those relationships is Pastor Ray Durden, Jerome’s first biblical mentor and brother-in-law. Another defining relationship is his covenant friendship with Pastor Ronnie Runner — a brotherhood that has spanned four decades, beginning in 1985. They were two young men interrupted by God in a park in Atlanta; both would become pastors, and both have walked with one another through every subsequent season of calling, family, and faith. That kind of covenant is not background detail. It is living proof of the message Jerome carries.

―――

Jerome carries a clear and specific mandate: to help people recognize, not resist, divine interruption. He teaches that what appears to be disruption is often a divine doorway — not a dead end, but an entry point into purpose, prophetic fulfillment, and Kingdom impact. Through his teaching, he equips believers to discern God’s timing, navigate the process of spiritual formation, and walk with confidence in alignment with what Heaven has already declared over their lives.

This book was not written from a posture of having arrived. It was written through one of the most demanding seasons of Jerome’s life — a year that included the loss of a twenty-five-year career, heart failure, two hospitalizations totaling thirty days, a pacemaker, a CRT-D implant, an A-Fib ablation, and the quiet, consistent work of God in the middle of all of it. The message was not composed. It was carried. And what was produced on the other side is testimony that the process it describes is real.

Before God releases a word through you, He often writes that word in you.

As a leader, mentor, and author, Jerome is dedicated to cultivating mature, Spirit-led believers who are grounded in the Word, attuned to the voice of God, and fully equipped to walk in the assignment Heaven prepared for them before the first interruption ever came.

―――

Jerome resides in Decatur, Georgia, where he continues to serve the Body of Christ through anointed teaching, L.A.M.P. Training Institute — Leadership and Ministry Preparation — marriage and ministry enrichment, and the life-shaping message that has defined this season of his journey: Divine Interruption for Prophetic Alignment. He does so alongside his wife, Michelle — his covenant partner, his steady place, and the woman who believed for both of them when the season required it. She did not simply walk beside him through every interruption, alignment, and assignment. She held the ground when holding it was costly, spoke life when silence would have been easier, and demonstrated a quality of faith that this book would be less without.

Together, they continue to live what these pages proclaim: that divine interruption is not the end of a story. It is the moment God begins to write its truest version
